At the heart of this vision are Shawn Breaud and Shane Songy — lifelong friends and business partners whose journey began in Chalmette, Louisiana. Over two decades, their partnership has weathered storms, rebuilt communities, and grown into what is now Prime Hospitality Group — a collection of successful restaurant and hospitality concepts across the Gulf South.

From their first venture, WOW Café & Wingery, which they courageously reopened after Hurricane Katrina, to PJ’s Coffee of Chalmette, Après Lounge, and the acclaimed Desi Vega’s Steakhouse – Northshore, Shawn and Shane have built a legacy defined by resilience, community, and heart.

Now, that same dedication to excellence and hospitality comes to Ocean Springs, where coastal charm meets refined dining. Teaming up once again with legendary restaurateur Desi Vega, the partners are proud to introduce Desi Vega’s Steakhouse Ocean Springs — the newest steakhouse experience, right in the heart of the downtown district.

At the helm of Desi Vega’s Ocean Springs is a passionate team of hospitality professionals dedicated to excellence in every detail. Executive Chef Marlon Hornsby and Chef Kyle Gainey lead our kitchen with creativity and precision, while General Manager Patrick Bailey, Bar Manager Alexis Guerrero, and Events Coordinator Sonja Foshee ensure every guest experience — from intimate dinners to private celebrations — reflects the warmth, polish, and signature Southern hospitality that define Desi Vega’s.
